SECON specialises in integral systems for environmentally friendly and energy efficient refrigeration. Chillers employing natural regrigerants are the main focus, especially hydrocarbons.

SECONdefines as its entrepreneurial responsibilty to minimise the consequences of refrigeration technologes for the environmenally friendly and safe use as possible. For SECON, this comprises to consitently contribute through research and state of the art technological development.

Energy efficiency as well as minimal environmental impact, down time and life cycle costs are the top design criteria for the products. SECON thus, without expetion, uses natural refrigerants such as propane (R290), propene (R1270) and isobutane (R600a). SECON also offers subcritical CO2 (R744) refrigeration systems and machines with air cycle technology (R729) for ULT applications. Present-day awareness of the harmful implications of synthetic refrigerants makes imperative that the may only be employed where no viable alternitve technologies with natural refrigernats are yet available.
