Product information

Operating reliability, capacity and efficiency in industrial refrigeration and heat pump applications as well as marine refrigeration systems with fewer compressors than before: with the new ECOLINE 8-cylinder reciprocating compressors for subcritical CO2 applications, BITZER is expanding the series for even wider capacity ranges with CO2 (R744) as a refrigerant. The compressors are designed for high standstill pressures of up to 80 bar.

The advantage of CO2 as a refrigerant in industrial systems and shipping is that it is a natural, non-toxic refrigerant with a low global warming potential that is considered future-proof in terms of the global environmental regulations and allows for compact system dimensions. Be it for large cold storage units, industrial blast freezing systems, the pharmaceutical industry or heat pumps at low ambient temperatures in cascade systems, the new ECOLINE 8-cylinder reciprocating compressors from BITZER are low maintenance and ensure efficient, reliable operation with a wide capacity range in subcritical CO2 applications.

The compressors are available with displacements of 138.6, 160.7 and 199.5 m3/h at 50 Hz in two motor versions and can deliver refrigerating capacities of up to 360 kW (t0 = –35°C, tc = 0°C, t0h = 20 K at 50 Hz). They boast low pressure pulsations and vibrations during operation. For high efficiency, especially in part load, operation with external VARIPACK frequency inverter is also possible. Additionally, system manufacturer and operators benefit from added value of the IQ MODULE CM-RC-02, which equips the ECOLINE 8-cylinder reciprocating compressors for subcritical CO2 applications as standard. The IQ MODULE simplifies installation and system integration, as well as the operation and maintenance of the compressors.
