The Energy Module continuously measures the electrical power consumed by the key components of a refrigeration installation, including compressors, condenser fans and, on indirect systems, circulation pumps. Connected to the PolarBox, it provides a detailed view of how the installation is operating and where energy is being used.

Based on these measurements, the PolarBox calculates the installation’s actual coefficient of performance (COP) and instantaneous cooling capacity. The module also tracks compressor start-up frequency, helping operators identify abnormal short cycling that may indicate an operating or maintenance issue.
