Wernsing Feinkost GmbH operates large-scale ammonia refrigeration systems across its production facilities. Due to fluctuating production loads and intensive freezing processes, the systems experienced inefficient defrost cycles, increased energy consumption, and additional strain on the refrigeration infrastructure.
Coldsense implemented an intelligent monitoring and optimization solution featuring more than 25 interconnected hardware components, including ice sensors, environmental sensors, and AI-powered analytics. The system continuously analyzes evaporator icing behavior and overall system performance to dynamically optimize defrost processes and the operation of the ammonia refrigeration systems.
