Session description

This presentation starts with some background information on the new F-gas regulations.  The presentation then goes into the detail of the EN378 Refrigeration product safety standard and how refrigerant charge volume is limited relative to room size and refrigerant LFL (Lower Flammability limit).  We walk through the charge limit table C2 and the cap factors which allow systems to exceed the potential Room LFL if the overall charge is below a value relative to R-290 systems.  I then detail how it is possible to reduce the overall charge in a refrigeration system using expansion lines instead of liquid lines by moving the expansion device to the condensing unit.  I then give examples of refrigerant charge levels comparing expansion lines and liquid lines, show how you ca ...
