Beschreibung

This presentation starts with some background information on the new F-gas regulations.  The presentation then goes into the detail of the EN378 Refrigeration product safety standard and how refrigerant charge volume is limited relative to room size and refrigerant LFL (Lower Flammability limit).  We walk through the charge limit table C2 and the cap factors which allow systems to exceed the potential Room LFL if the overall charge is below a value relative to R290 systems.  I then detail how it is possible to reduce the overall charge in a refrigeration system using expansion lines instead of liquid lines by moving the expansion device to the condensing unit.  I then give examples of refrigerant charge levels comparing expansion lines and liquid lines, show how you can stay within the equivalent R-290 limits with expansion lines for most small split refrigeration systems.  I then give further comparisons for Low Temperature systems.  I also give details of the UK award winning Marstair A2L SysteMatch which gives a whole condensing unit and evaporator system, so contractors can be sure that they are within EN378 regulation LFL levels due to using a refrigerant charge that is within the charge levels limits at the specification stage.  I then give detailed case studies showing total cost of ownership and TCO2 comparisons against other technologies including CO2.  Finally, I give details of some customer testimonials as well as information related to our Marstair SysteMatch selection software.
