Description

The ENTR LOT 1 (Professional Refrigeration systems) is getting close to the final text. During 3 years Asercom and EPEE members formed a Joint Industry Expert Group (JIEG) to give feed back to the Commission and the consultants. This presentation gives an overview with focus on Condensing units. There are several aspects to consider. Especially the new F-gas regulation which from 2030 onwards will limit the refrigerant choices dramatically and the uncertainty about the outcome of the PFAS proposal. The presentation will inform about the latest report from the consultant and the JIEG recommendation. In the consultant proposal an energy label requirment is proposed while the JIEG is against. New refrigerants like CO2 also require a MEPS with seasonal approach (SEPR) to become a realistic choice.
