More exhibition space, international expertise and over 200 presentations on the future trends in refrigeration, air conditioning, ventilation and heat pumps.
With more than 1,150 exhibitors from over 50 countries, over 200 lectures and new formats such as the ‘Future Hub’, Chillventa will once again be the international meeting place for the refrigeration, air-conditioning, ventilation and heat pump sectors from 13 to 15 October 2026. The world’s leading trade fair will bring together innovation, expert knowledge and networking at the highest level, offering trade visitors a comprehensive overview of the technologies and trends of tomorrow.
Chillventa continues to grow: with the addition of Hall 1 and an overall larger exhibition space, trade visitors can look forward to an even wider range of products, technologies and solutions. From energy-efficient refrigeration technology and state-of-the-art air-conditioning and ventilation systems to innovative heat pump applications, the industry will showcase its latest developments on the Nuremberg trade fair grounds.
“The demands on the refrigeration, air-conditioning, ventilation and heat pump sector are changing rapidly. New technologies such as AI are becoming increasingly important, whilst at the same time companies are facing challenges such as decarbonisation, securing skilled workers and the growing demand for energy-efficient solutions for data centres. Chillventa provides the ideal platform for discussing these developments and networking amongst international experts. “That is exactly what our guiding principle, ‘Chillventa connecting experts’, stands for,” says Jasmin Rutka, Head of Brand Strategy at Chillventa, NürnbergMesse GmbH.
Focus on knowledge transfer: over 200 presentations on the topics concerning the future of the industry
A key feature of Chillventa is its extensive supporting programme. In the specialist forums “Climate, Ventilation & Heat Pumps” (Hall 7A), “Refrigeration Technology” (Hall 4A) and “Applications, Training & Regulations” (Hall 8), renowned experts will provide practical insights into the latest developments and technological trends.
The topics covered range from artificial intelligence in refrigeration technology, to more efficient solutions for industrial heat pumps, to new approaches to data centre cooling. The impact of the new ErP26 Ecodesign Regulation will also be on the agenda. In addition to providing expert insights, the forums will offer ample opportunity for discussion, sharing experiences and networking.
New to the programme is the ‘Future Hub’ in Hall 9 (Stand 9-504). As a central platform for future-oriented topics, it will provide concise and practical insights into digitalisation, artificial intelligence, social media and the recruitment of skilled workers. The focus here will be on practical ideas and approaches that can be put to immediate use by companies and employees in the sector.
Hands-on technology: special presentations take centre stage
Two special presentations deserve particular attention this year, as they will clearly convey the latest developments in a practical way.
Under the slogan ‘We are under tension – Testing the modern electrical equipment’, the Bundesfachschule in Hall 7 will be using live demonstrations to show, amongst other things, how harmonics are generated and measured. There will also be easy-to-understand explanations of phenomena such as neutral conductor overload and neutral point displacement.
The AIT Heat Pump Innovation Lounge will be entirely dedicated to the future-oriented topic of heat pumps. Experts from the AIT Austrian Institute of Technology will present their latest research and development projects, including applications in data centres, solutions for industrial steam generation and innovative laboratory environments for heat pump technologies.
The German Championship will showcase the future of the skilled trades
The German Federal College of Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Technology will offer a thrilling competition. The best young talents in the profession of mechatronics technician specialising in refrigeration technology will compete against one another right here on the trade fair grounds.
The event is being organized by the Federation of German Refrigeration Plant Assemblers (BIV). The participants have previously qualified at regional level and will now demonstrate their technical expertise and craftsmanship in a competitive setting. They will assemble, wire, test and commission refrigeration systems right in the middle of the trade fair action in Hall 9.
Guided tours: experience innovations first-hand from the exhibitors
The guided tours organised by KK DIE KÄLTE + Klimatechnik will offer trade visitors the opportunity to discover the trade fair’s key innovations in a concise manner. Every day from 13 to 15 October, experts will guide visitors to selected exhibitors and provide practical insights into the latest trends in refrigeration, air conditioning and ventilation, ranging from natural refrigerants and energy-efficient systems to sustainable building concepts. The meeting point for all guided tours is the stand of KK DIE KÄLTE + Klimatechnik and Gentner Verlag in Hall 4, Stand 4-207.
