Startups are introducing new approaches to refrigeration, AC, ventilation, and heat pump technology – often targeting specific challenges in planning, operation, and service. At Chillventa 2026, young companies will have the opportunity to position and refine their solutions through direct discussions with industry professionals, manufacturers, and building services designers.
Chillventa is the No. 1 gathering place for the international refrigeration, AC, ventilation, and heat pump community. Experts from all around the world come together in Nuremberg to interpret the latest developments and discuss requirements relating to design, operation, and service. In this context, startups are playing an increasingly visible role.
Startups concentrate on practical applications
Supporting the participation of young companies is an integral part of the Chillventa trade fair concept. Startups complement the range of products and solutions on display with their own contributions targeting specific areas of application. While large companies present a broad range of solutions, startups often focus on individual process steps, for example in planning, monitoring or service.
The following startups have already registered for Chillventa 2026:
- Refolution Industriekälte GmbH develops solutions for modern refrigeration, focusing on efficient operation and sustainable concepts.
- Factor4Solutions GmbH develops and implements model-based control solutions for cooling and heating systems to facilitate flexible and adaptive operation.
- autarc GmbH digitises planning processes like heat load calculation and hydraulic balancing to reduce design workload.
- SABOY Anlagentechnik uses operating data for the early detection of irregularities and provides support with the targeted optimisation of systems.
- MAGNOTHERM Solutions GmbH will showcase its alternative cooling technologies that offer new options for technical implementation.
- Mainteny GmbH enables service companies to digitise and organise their work processes.
- WiBra GmbH develops modular enclosures that simplify the design and integration of systems and equipment.
Supporting programme and focus on training
Alongside the exhibition itself, the specialist forums and Chillventa CONGRESS will provide insights into current developments in industrial practice, applications, and research. Presentations will cover the entire value chain – including components and systems, design, operation, control systems, digitisation, and training. Current issues will be addressed and examined from various perspectives.
For young people especially, the German Federal College of Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Technology will be an important port of call. At its own stand (Hall 9, booth 9-316), the College will provide information about training and professional development options in the industry – from entry-level vocational training to advanced professional qualifications and technician courses. The stand also serves as a meeting point for skilled professionals and emerging talent. The College will also contribute its practical expertise to the supporting programme in the form of various presentations and talks.
Another programme highlight will be the German Championship for Refrigeration Technicians, organised by the Federation of German Refrigeration Plant Assemblers (BIV). This contest offers insights into the training of the next generation of refrigeration professionals and showcases their technical skills. The BIV will also have a dedicated stand at Chillventa (Hall 9, booth 9-321).
Pavilions for startups
Chillventa brings experts together and provides the ideal setting for face-to-face, technically focused discussions on real-world applications. And it is precisely this kind of environment that helps startups to position their solutions and gain feedback for further development. The Young Innovators Pavilion in Hall 9 offers German startups a structured introduction to exhibiting at trade fairs. Organised by NürnbergMesse and subsidised by a German government programme, it creates the ideal conditions for a professional trade fair appearance. International startups can present their companies and solutions at the START:HUB in Hall 8.
For Chillventa 2026, there are still a few spots available in both pavilions. Interested parties can obtain information and documentation at:
