Chillventa on track for success as international community gathers live in Nuremberg again

It opens with the most extensive supporting programme in its history and around 850 exhibitors from 43 countries.

Visitors at Chillventa

In 2022, Chillventa is once again proving a hit with industry professionals. It opens with the most extensive supporting programme in its history and around 850 exhibitors from 43 countries. Yet again, the leading international fair is sure to reinforce its status as the No. 1 platform for the refrigeration, AC, ventilation and heat pump sector. On the day before the trade fair, the Chillventa CONGRESS kicked off the Chillventa week, impressing the experts taking part on site and online with its high-calibre content.

Ground-breaking and innovative products combined with the high-calibre professional expertise at the Chillventa CONGRESS and in the forums offer trade visitors an up-to-date and comprehensive overview of future trends. This is what makes Chillventa such a drawcard for international specialists from the refrigeration, insulation, C&I and automation, air conditioning, ventilation and heat pump segments. The personal reunions among business partners and friends, and the opportunity to see and evaluate products live again are a particular focus in 2022, attracting around 850 exhibitors from all around the world to Exhibition Centre Nuremberg.

“This year, we are particularly pleased about the loyalty shown by our longstanding exhibitors but are also delighted to welcome the many new companies that have realised over the last few years that nothing can replace personal business contacts and live trade fair experiences! In the interim, we have had plenty of time to improve and expand the event. For example, Chillventa offers an even more extensive supporting programme this time round, including a brand-new forum on digitisation for trade businesses, the Job Corner, and the international WorldSkills championship. We are set to enjoy three days packed with new inspiration and personal encounters and are delighted that our exhibition halls are finally coming to life again and providing a hub for many interesting discussions about current and future topics,” says Elke Harreiß, Executive Director Chillventa.

Key themes of trade fair and congress

Sustainability, energy performance of refrigeration systems, circular economy, indoor air quality, indirect cooling and IT security are some of the trending topics this year that don’t just feature prominently at many exhibitor stands but are also covered in the forums, special presentations and Chillventa CONGRESS. On 10 October, the day before the exhibition, the Chillventa CONGRESS once again offered a wealth of high-calibre, on-point presentations by experts. Renowned international speakers shared their knowledge from research, development and industrial practice and explained the current policy frameworks in Europe and worldwide. The four parallel congress tracks “Heat Pumping Technologies for Residential, Commercial and Industrial Applications”, “7th Innovation Day Refrigeration Technology”, “ASERCOM + EPEE Symposium” and “Air conditioning of data centres” were also available online as live streams.

New highlights added to supporting programme

This year, Chillventa is dedicating a separate forum to an issue that is especially important for the future: the digitisation of trade-based businesses. In the forum “A practical guide to digitisation for craftspeople”, tradespeople from real-life companies discuss the digital strategies and solutions that they have implemented and that can be adopted by other businesses.

Another new feature is the Job Corner, which gives employers and suitably qualified skilled personnel the opportunity to connect with one another. The next generation of skilled tradespeople gets a chance to shine at the WorldSkills Competition 2022 Special Edition. This event brings together top-class specialists from 16 countries to compete at the highest level for the world championship medal in the discipline of refrigeration and AC technology.

In addition, Chillventa will once again host the German Federal Skills Competition (BLW). The winners will be honoured at the BLW stand (Hall 9, Stand 9-330) on 13 October at 14:00.

Exhibitor forums, special presentations and guided tours

These popular and established highlights familiar from previous events continue to provide that extra helping of knowledge transfer, new food for thought, and interesting discussions with experienced experts. The three exhibitor forums are structured thematically into the segments “Applications, Training & Codes of Practice”, “Refrigeration Technology” and “Air Conditioning, Ventilation and Heat Pumps”. This year, two special presentations look in more depth at the topics “Handling flammable refrigerants” and “Heat pumps”. Professionally guided tours also take place every day: at 10:00 for the refrigeration technology segment and at 13:00 for air conditioning and ventilation technology. Overall, trade visitors can get expert knowledge at more than 170 presentations in the Chillventa forums.

Another new attraction well worth visiting is the Start:Hub pavilion, where for the first time at Chillventa, international start-ups will showcase their companies in the direct vicinity of the Innovative Young Companies Pavilion in Hall 4, which is subsidised by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi).
