The Sound Scanner is the first acoustic camera based on the principle of Sound Field Scanning. The system localizes sound sources across a wide frequency range from 125 Hz to 44 kHz and delivers high-resolution acoustic images directly to a mobile device for fast and intuitive analysis.

With Sound Field Scanning, the incoming sound field is spatially sampled using a compact microphone array. Based on the measurement data, more than 400 virtual microphone positions are calculated. The high number of measurement positions enables high spatial resolution and precise localization, even for complex sound sources.
