The FCM7210 is Figaro’s compact NDIR gas sensor module under development for detecting R290 (propane) refrigerant leaks in air-conditioning and refrigeration equipment. Designed for a target alarm setpoint of 10–20% LFL, it combines infrared sensing with a compact PCB-mounted format for integration into OEM leak-detection systems.
The module operates from 3.3–5.5 V DC and has a specified response time of 30 seconds. It is designed for operation from –40 to 85 °C and 0–95% RH, with average current consumption of 10 mA. Open-collector, I²C and UART output options, together with self-diagnosis on every measurement, support flexible system integration.
