When people talk about industrial refrigeration, the spotlight usually falls on compressors, heat exchangers, control systems, or even refrigerants themselves. These are the ""stars of the show"". But quietly running through every installation and often overlooked, yet absolutely critical, is the piping system. And even more overlooked, is the certification. 
If we move away from outdated dogma (e.g., seamless, Schedule 40) and look at precisely determining the wall thickness of the pipe, we will find many benefits, both for us and for the environment.  
When we reduce the amount of metal by half, this results in at least two-three times fewer welding passes, lighter supports and construction ...
