Reversing Valves are a crucial component on any reversible Heat Pump. Their function is to reverse the cycle of refrigerant allowing the Heat pump to switch from Cooling to heating or to allow shorter inversion to protect evaporators from freezing. They define in fact the reversible Heat pump in its main principle. The whole industry has settled on a common technology for these devices over the years, and as they are effective, they also have some known critic aspects.
