Description

Herewith we would like to apply at the Chillventa forum and present our company as manufactured of Heat Pumps and chillers with natural refrigerant gases with focus on Enerblue approach on the application and installation of R-290 Heat Pumps.
The presentation will be divided in two main parts. The first part is an introduction of Enerblue company with a small view into the history of the company and more than decennal experience on the design and the production of R-290 Heat Pumps and chillers.

Afterwards, the presentation will be deeper into the second part explaining our propane guide lines and practical suggestions for R-290 installation. The first chapter is related to technical description of propane as gas including information of safety class, GWP, PED fluid group.

The second chapter is about EN 378 regulation and its various subsections. The various subsections apply depending on the type of activity involving the application. Each party involved, be it the Heat Pump manufacturer, the installer or the designer, must consider different sections of the EN 378 regulation. Our position as manufacturers will be included too.

Definition of ATEX and classification of the 3 Zones will be the third chapter. We explain what is involved in an indoor installation of propane units, depending on the gas charge of the unit, always in accordance with EN 378. We will give an overview of the safety systems we adopt and which come into operation in the event of refrigerant leakage.
