Why is Evapco an active and supporting eurammon member and this since years

eurammon: “Whether in the food and beverage industry, in air-conditioning, in sport and recreation facilities, hospitals, the chemical, pharmaceuticals or the automotive industry – cooling and refrigeration technologies are essential to our civilization and impact every one of us. eurammon has therefore been advocating the use of natural refrigerants since its foundation 1996.

The initiatives see its mission in providing a platform for information and knowledge sharing – be it for scientists and researchers, politicians, as well as the public at large” Since over 20 years, Evapco is an active member at eurammon. I am following here Hubert Sturies and in my role as the country manager for Evapco in Germany + member of the steering committee of eurammon, I like to focus why it is so important to consider natural refrigerants. Some words concerning Evapco: The name Evapco is a combination of Evaporative and Condenser. Since 1976, we are producing and still optimizing these products è which are mostly for R-717.

During the years, our product portfolio has grown, but the focus on natural refrigerants is still essential. Therefore, a small overview of the Evapco product portfolio as a worldwide player. What are the categories of our products (like condenser/gas-cooler; evaporator;R-717/R-744 packaged units, …). => “Not all fits to all! - Refrigerant properties: like temperature level, thermal properties, … - Project needs, … That this is the truth, will be shown with some examples concerning refrigerants and applications. Example: evaporative condenser: We in our role as the interface between the process and the environment, would not be needed, if you can save or reuse the complete energy at the given temperature levels. Even if you reuse it somehow, the time of the availability and demand are an additional challenge. => But, why focusing on natural refrigerants! R11, R12; R22 are Refrigerants, which has good thermal properties, but outside the refrigeration system the disadvantages prevail. Therefor it is important to focus on sustainable refrigerants and address, analyze, evaluate, and eliminate the challenges!

We as a supplier of components needs to have platforms like eurammon to focus on the sustainability + efficiency of the whole plant – instead of “swimming in a bubble”!
