Description

The EU F-Gas Regulation 517/2014 has some major and supporting tools to control emissions. The view of refrigeration including air conditioning and heat pumps on the major tool, the phase down schedule and it's revision proposal is illustrated and briefly discussed.

BITZER is visualizing the impacts on it's customers and the refrigeration business and giving feedback to the regulators on the technical application possibilities. In case of the revision proposal, the phase-down schedule in real life seems more to be a phase-out schedule. Since many years products are delivered for naturally appearing substances as refrigerants, like R-744, R-717 and R-290. Documentation, seminars and practical trainings in small groups help preparing customers for the change to environmentally friendly refrigerants and designing reliable, efficient and safe systems.
