The TGS 2630 is Figaro's compact MOS gas sensor for refrigerant leak detection in air conditioning, heat pump and refrigeration equipment. It offers high sensitivity to low-GWP A2L refrigerants, including R32 and R1234yf, and to A3 refrigerants such as R290 (propane), as well as R404A and R410A.
An integrated filter reduces the influence of alcohol and other interference gases, improving selectivity to A2L refrigerants. This makes the TGS 2630 well suited to durable stationary leak detectors. The sensor uses simple interface circuitry, has a typical detection range of 1,000–10,000 ppm and is housed in a standard TO-5 package. Its miniaturised sensing chip requires a heater current of only 56 mA, supporting compact, low-power designs.
