TÜV SÜD Industrie Service GmbH operates Europe’s largest independent testing laboratory for refrigeration and air-conditioning systems in Olching, near Munich. 

Laboratory rooms, climate chambers (for temperatures between -40 °C and +50°C) and test equipment enable a wide variety of tests and applications to be performed in fields such as technical acoustics, hand-arm vibrations, safety of refrigeration and cooling systems with flammable refrigerants, and mobile and stationary refrigeration and air-conditioning systems for industry, commerce, residential and transport applications. 

On the laboratory’s modern CO2 test bench, refrigeration and cooling systems using eco-friendly CO2 refrigerant are tested under realistic conditions to verify their energy consumption, performance and functionality.  

TÜV SÜD Industrie Service GmbH further provides a technical monitoring service, analysing existing malfunctions and opportunities for improvement in technical supply systems and individual components.
