How to combine economy, efficiency and regulation with a heat transfer fluid system

In the context of the F-Gas regulation, indirect systems are becoming more and more popular, especially in the food industry, whether for cooling a tool or a product (in cold storage or deep-freezing). Is this reasonable or not in terms of energy efficiency? Are there alternatives?

Beschreibung

The preservation and continuity of the cold chain is a major challenge for many industries, particularly in the food industry. Heat transfer fluids play an important role in this. They are used to control the temperature in food and beverage manufacturing and transformation processes as well as in storage areas. There are many heat transfer fluids available on the market, but how do you make the right choice knowing that apart from water there is no heat transfer fluid for food applications.

As a heat transfer fluid manufacturer for more than 40 years and a major player on the European market, Climalife has innovated by formulating the first heat transfer fluid based on a renewable raw material (1.3 bio propanediol) registered as category HT1 on the official NSF* 1 list. Greenway® Neo N can be used as a heat transfer fluid in circuits where there is a risk of accidental contact with food products, without any risk for the consumer. It fully meets the needs of industries wishing to optimise the safety of secondary refrigeration systems.

In addition to meeting NSF and Food and Drug Administration requirements, Greenway® Neo N increases energy efficiency and reduces environmental impact.  Its thermodynamic properties allow it to reach operating temperatures unattainable with conventional glycol-based products. It has lower viscosities than MPG at low temperatures, which improves the performance and productivity of an installation by reducing power consumption.
