This presentation introduces Johnson Controls’ latest development within industrial heat pumps: a new reciprocating compressor-based solution utilizing hydrocarbons (R-600a/R-600) as refrigerant, with capacities up to 1000 kW. The product is designed to meet the increasing demand for efficient, sustainable, and high-temperature heat generation in industrial applications, supporting the transition away from fossil fuel-based systems. 
The presentation outlines the full development journey from an academic test bench prototype to a robust, commercial-ready product.
