Modern data center workloads such as artificial intelligence (AI), high‑performance computing (HPC) and cloud services are driving unprecedented increases in server power density. As a result, thermal management in data centers now extends well beyond traditional air‑cooled approaches and increasingly relies on liquid cooling technologies to safely and efficiently remove heat from high‑density IT equipment.

A critical component common to nearly all liquid‑cooled data center architectures is the coolant distribution unit (CDU).
