Vibration behavior plays an important role in the development and optimization of refrigeration, air conditioning, ventilation, and heat pump systems. Compressors, fans, housings, piping, mounting structures, and complete HVACR units are subject to dynamic loads that can affect durability, acoustic performance, efficiency, and perceived product quality.
Experimental modal analysis (EMA) is a key method for understanding such vibration behavior, for validating finite element models, and to optimize structures.
