Compact water-cooled condensing unit, fully designed and developed by Carel. The solution is used on semi plug-in showcases in waterloop systems, as a future-proof alternative to the traditional centralised architecture with compressor racks and remote showcases supplied by long distribution lines.

The commercial refrigeration market is facing more stringent regulatory requirements that are indisputably orienting the technology choices of OEMs & retailers. Reduction of direct emissions, through the use of natural refrigerants, and reduction of indirect emissions, through high-efficiency solutions, are becoming more and more a must rather than a nice to have.
Heosbox R-744 perfectly fits into this market context, integrating Heos technology with R-744:BLDC compressors and electronic expansion valves.
Synchronised action of these two components through Heos control logic allows continuous modulation of performance. In this way, each showcase can operate independently of the others, giving the lowest possible energy consumption in every condition.
Heosbox R-744 units are designed and optimised for subcritical applications in the commercial refrigeration field, and essentially consist of:
· a partial water-cooled refrigeration circuit, to be coupled to an evaporating coil;
· an electrical panel featuring power distribution and complete control of the system.
Heosbox R-744 represents a future-proof sustainable alternative to R-290.
Subcritical design allows:
· a reduction in installation costs, thanks to reduced operating pressures and a simplified design of the refrigeration circuit (HFC-like)
· greater operating flexibility: medium or low temperature applications in both single evaporator and multi-evaporator configurations
· creation of synergies with the existing air conditioning system, making it possible to optimise overall system efficiency.
