The natural refrigerant R-717 is increasingly in demand and is available as a natural alternative in many new applications. But there is also potential in already classic applications. This leads, among other things, to rethinking customary procedures. The regular investigation and improvement of Güntner products has shown that it is worthwhile to examine R-717 air coolers in the application with direct expansion as well as in the flooded mode of operation more closely.
