Product information

The ALIGA-Escape, a classic door with integrated high-speed door, is the solution for all facilities with doors in the course of escape and rescue routes in the interior.

The fact that high-speed doors in escape and rescue routes are not approved in Germany is hardly taken into account in this country. Although it is often indispensable for a smooth workflow in the company to install a high-speed door. Approvals for high-speed doors in escape routes are currently only granted by building authorities on a case-by-case basis.

According to the German Association for the Prevention of Accidents (DGUV), whose sponsors are the employers' liability insurance associations and accident insurance funds, automatic sliding doors and high-speed doors (with the exception of fire and smoke protection doors and gates) may only be used if they open automatically in the event of a power failure or have a manual opening option (break-out).
In the event of a power failure, it must be possible to open such doors manually at any time. Even after the safety devices (e.g. sensor strips) have been activated, it must be possible to open the door manually without considerable effort.

The only legally compliant solution on the market is the Aliga Escape!

Our interior door ALIGA-Escape has passed the type examination of the PFB - Prüfstelle für Bauelemente - and is thus approved as a tested construction product for use in escape and rescue routes.

Normally, the door functions like an automatic high-speed door and can open the escape route like a normal door in case of danger or power failure. In everyday operation, the flexible curtain of the door leaf opens automatically at a speed of up to 2.5 m/s, thus enabling a fast transfer of personnel or goods. The door leaf closes automatically at up to 1.5 m/s after a defined hold-open time.

In contrast to other doors on the market, ALIGA-Escape doors with the approval as a regulated building product according to the LBO may be operated as an escape door in escape routes. In addition, the ALIGA-Escape is tested and certified according to DIN EN 179. Without the discussion of design issues, the door thus fulfils all the necessary requirements for reliable operation as a high-speed door in escape and rescue routes.
