Hall 4A: Heat pumps, one key technology for the successful energy transition
© Fraunhofer ISE
Indoor heating and hot water account for 80 percent of the energy consumption in households. Also in commerce and industry, building heating and cooling as well as process optimization play a major role. Fortunately, the heat pump market for detached and semi-detached houses is growing; however, the market for commercial and industrial applications in Germany needs to expand. Heat pumps can cover the heating and increasingly the cooling demand efficiently and sustainably and are therefore important for sector coupling, which is essential for the success of the energy transition. Further research and development is needed to adapt heat pumps to the changing market needs and make them viable for the future.
Talk with the experts from the Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Systems ISE about subjects like:
- Heat pumps in the energy system
- Component and device development
- Material development and coatings
- System analysis and optimization
- Measurement campaigns
- Testing and certification
This presentation will take place in hall 4A, stand 4A-407.
