New uRack, the latest controller for compact compressor racks, ready for the digital era

The ways we interact with machines have changed rapidly and considerably over the last few years, due to the lightspeed evolution of technology.Every sector has been affected, and refrigeration applications are no exception.

uRack is the new controller for small and medium-sized compressor racks and condensing units that changes the way technicians and users interact with their refrigeration units. The new uRack incorporates all the typical rack features, plus more: compressor and condensing fan modulation, support for two suction lines, anti-liquid protection, different compressor models available, a clear display and compact hardware.
Unit configuration is made easy by Bluetooth and NFC interaction with the controller via the CAREL mobile app, APPLICA, making it much easier to manage the rack. APPLICA has been designed to work with CAREL’s parametric controllers: the mobile device thus becomes the user interface that, thanks to its specific graphics and multimedia functions, overcomes the limits of traditional, integrated user interfaces. This simplifies unit configuration, commissioning, and service. To cover different types of applications, three models are available, providing customers the most suitable I/O layout and form factor (panel or DIN). An optional external user interface and SSR are available for the top-end model. uRack comes ready to be connected to supervisory systems like CAREL’s BOSS lineup, with a built in BMS port, for remote performance monitoring and data logging.
