Wärmetauscher wie der Verdampfer spielen eine Schlüsselrolle bei der Reduzierung der Kältemittelfüllung von Luft- Wasser-Wärmepumpen, was auch für die Kosten und Sicherheit der Anlage relevant ist. Das Fraunhofer ISE hat optimierte Konzepte zur Reduzierung der Innenvolumina entwickelt. Geprägte Aluminiumbleche mit Kanälen sorgen für eine homogene Verteilung des Kältemittels (z.B. Propan), vergleichbar mit Rippen- Rundrohrwärmetauschern.
The Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Systems ISE is the largest solar energy research institute in Europe. Focusing on energy conversion, energy efficiency, energy distribution and energy storage, the institute creates the technological foundations for supplying energy efficiently and on an environmentally sound basis in industrialized as well as threshold and developing countries.
Among other research areas, the institute has many years of experience in heat pump technology and holds expertise along the entire value chain. At the institute, the work on heat pumps focuses on developing, or further developing, materials and various components, testing and verifying singular units, investigating different heat pump systems in the field under real conditions as well as integrating the heat pump unit into the entire energy system. The institute works in close cooperation with its partners and customers from industry and research.
