Specifically developed for Güntner heat exchangers with EC fans, the GMMnext is a tailor-made solution that achieves the best possible efficiency level for heat dissipation and consequently increases the economic efficiency of the whole refrigeration system.
The sophisticated technology on the controller and on the power side provides maximum service life of the heat exchanger and the fans. The GMMnext parameterizes the EC fans and power components automatically and thereby allows for plug-and-play operation. The GMMnext system uses the most up-to-date bus technology that is the basis for the GMMnext for carrying out the three main functions of process regulation, information management and system management.
Optimization of the complete refrigerating plant
It is a prerequisite that all component parts are exactly matched and optimally controlled so as to reach maximum savings. The GMMnext offers numerous functions, from the control of particularly low partial load ranges to the capacity increase of the heat exchanger beyond the design point, to support you with regard to heat dissipation. Special highlight: The Energy Balance Function, awarded with the German Refrigeration Award, offers energy savings of up to 30 % in the partial load range.
And there are even more functions providing several advantages, such as the Super-Low Capacity Motor Management (SLCMM) with inverse operation to reduce convection. The SLCMM function offers precise control for all loads while the setpoint deviation is kept at a minimum for low load states and low ambient temperatures.
The setpoint displacement function allows the customer to operate the refrigerating plant in an energetically optimal way, depending on the external temperature. And the night setback function reduces noise emissions during night operation and saves energy by reducing the fan speed via the internal time programme or an external signal.
Operational reliability and service life
To ensure operational reliability and maximum service life, the GMMnext offers several functions that are unrivalled. What's more, the status and alarm management consistently analyses all messages so that you can always monitor the plant components and track all events. The bypass function ensures that the heat exchanger operation is maintained for as long as possible even in the event of malfunctions of the controller.
The maintenance mode maintains operability and prevents malfunctions: During prolonged downtimes, the fans are operated at short pre-set intervals. And by additionally increasing the fan speed, the boost function allows for achieving the setpoint even beyond the design point (at very high temperatures and very high loads) or to come much closer at least. The boost function can also be used as emergency operation function when fans fail to operate.
Plug & play and easy integration
The GMMnext makes life easier for you right from the beginning: Already during the design of the suitable unit, the controller is offered to you. In delivery state, the plant and the heat exchanger respectively run as plug & play solution when switching on the main switch. Due to the different operating modes, the controller can be integrated in a flexibe way into the building management system. The large number of communication protocols such as BACnet/IP and Modbus/TCP certainly provide a suitable connection. And there are many functions, from the automatic internal control to the setpoint and speed setting by the BMS, that will ease your workload. It also goes without saying that, in case you need to replace fans, parameterization is not necessary – this is also done for you automatically by the GMMnext.
