Extension of the Vortex VVX product range - the smart solution for OEM applications
No moving parts – no mechanical wear
We have expanded our popular Vortex flow sensor product range. The flow sensor installed directly in the pipe as an in-line device is based on the Kármán vortex street principle. Its integrated bluff body creates swirling vortices in the medium, which interact with the piezoelectric force sensor, which is fully encapsulated in plastic. This construction offers unique advantages in terms of contamination and pressure peaks.
By means of the integrated electronics, the pulses of the sensor are converted into a flow-proportional output signal. For the flow, several analog voltage signals (for example 0 ... 10 V or 4 ... 20 mA) or a frequency signal are now available. For the integrated temperature measurement, we also offer a resistance or analogue signal.
Our vortex flow sensors are still made of high quality, glass fiber reinforced plastic. They withstand a constant medium temperature of up to 90 ° C and are characterized in the field by their stability, longevity and high immunity to interference. In nominal sizes of DN 15, DN 20 and DN 25, they can also be easily integrated into existing processes thanks to their diverse process connections and adapters with metric and NPT male threads as well as Quick Fasten System. New is e.g. a sensor with DN 20 and a metric G1 external thread.
