Definition and function of liquid receiver
Liquid Receiver is located, after the condenser and before the evaporator, on the high pressure line. The function of the liquid receiver is to send the refrigerant fluid in100% liquid state to the expansion valve for the best cooling effect.
In case of any refrigerant flow fluctuations, the Liquid Receiver will hold the responsibility to keep highest refrigeration efficiency. During the system maintenance, the Liquid Receiver is used as a reservoir for the refrigerant.
For different Liquid Receiver designs, different inlet I outlet positions and having special equipment’s (sight glasses, npt connection etc.), high pressure products, please refer to Special Productions section.
Liquid Receivers are produced in European Standards and also in the terms of Pressure Equipment’s Directive (PED 97/23/EQ.
