The Hairpin benders (HB-HBS) are CMS's most representative product, a synthesis of the most advanced technology and versatility in use. Each detail has been studied and performed in order to ensure maximum reliability, productivity and precision; the management and programming of the operating functions are entrusted to the sophisticated dedicated Numeric Control. The hairpin bender machines produce 4, 6 or 8 hairpins, also in combined version, with standard lengths from 7in/180mm ( 8.7in/220mm for HBS ) to 14ft/4250mm (up to 18ft/5500mm upon request) and diameters variable from 0.25in/6.35 mm to 0.625in/16 mm. The hairpin tubes may be in copper, aluminum, steel and stainless steel, wound in a coil. Standard straight legs length are: 3.6ft/1100mm, 5.7ft/1700mm, 7in/2100mm, 8.7ft/2650mm, 10.4ft/3150mm, 12ft/3700mm and 13.8ft/4200mm. The high feeding speed of the tube, the fastness of the bending arm, the reduced moving masses, the control of the acceleration and deceleration ramps and the extraction speed allow to obtain the highest productivity now possible with the maximum quality level of hairpins. As a standard 4 axes are managed, while the fifth one is optional and may be matched with combined machines. For the hairpins obtained from a bar there is the hairpin bender manual version (HBM), by vertical axis from 1 to 3 tubes, with length of the hairpin up to 6300 mm and diameter up to 0.875in/22mm.
