The Imperial Brass Manufacturing Company began making brass valves and fittings on the south side of Chicago in 1905. Today we are a world leader in the development of innovative products, including hand tools that make work easier for customers in a wide array of industries. In1996, Imperial-Eastman became part of Stride Tool Inc., but retained the Imperial brand name. Since that time, we have accelerated the development of patented products that serve professionals in industries as diverse as automotive, electrical, refrigeration, heating/air conditioning and tube working. We’re proud to continue to build on the legacy of innovation and excellence that began over one hundred years ago.

Milbar^® - World-Class Quality Hand Tools

The Milbar Company of Chagrin Falls, Ohio, a manufacturer of specialty hand tools since 1956, was acquired by Stride Tool Inc. in 1995.  The world’s leading manufacturer of safety wire twisters, Milbar^® tools have been designed and manufactured in northeast Ohio to exacting standards for over 50 years.

Thermal Engineering

In 2012 Stride Tool acquired Thermal Engineering Company of Mentor, Ohio and their line of HVACR service tools. The best of the Thermal Engineering offerings are now sold under the Imperial – Thermal name. Thermal Engineering also manufactures the finest in HVACR Training Units for the educational market.
