Guilbert Express began as a small French family business in 1905 designing and selling welding equipment.
Still based today in suburban Paris, Guilbert Express has consistently achieved highly for its industry. The company heralded the ‘Cercoflam’ in 1972 a major innovation in the plumbing sector and created the Olympic Torch for the 1992 Winter Olympic Games in Albertville. Guilbert Express holds the European Eureka label for its innovative achievements and awarded the Innovation Trophy by the French National Institute of Industrial Property
The company has since grown to become the industry market leader and now distributes its products to 54 countries in 5 continents. Express branded products are recognised as the worldwide benchmark in its main profit lines (torches, soldering lamps, soldering irons etc.). There are now more than 100 partners across the world supporting the brand’s success.
The company obtained ISO 9001 (2008 version) quality certification in 2009 and has filed more than 60 patents. One of France’s oldest manufacturing families; the third generation of Guilberts continue to run Guilbert Express with Philippe & Didier Guilbert.
