Genuine stand-alone, mobile refrigerators with a capacity of between 350 and 900 litres. Launched in 2014, Roll is a highly innovative range in autonomous logistic transport of refrigerated products.
Two affiliated researchers from a french CNRS unit, Francis Kindbeiter and Laurent Rigaud developed and industrialized an innovative technology , the thermochemical process based on solid-gas absorption and founded COLDWAY in 2001.
The specificity of this advanced invention lies in the total autonomy of the process which does not require any external electric power or diesel engine, is mobile and reusable with no time limit and no consumables. Cold or heat is thus self-generated from an elementary chemical reaction. The process does not use any engine or compressor, is therefore totally silent, eco-friendly, does not wear out and requires low maintenance.
Thanks to its innovative technology, COLDWAY is now targeting to be positioned as one of the major players of the temperature controlled equipment market and thermal heat storage. To claim that position, the company chose to get a foothold in the markets where temperature control is critical in terms of risk management.
COLDWAY is providing temperature controlled appropriate solutions which are also ensuring compliance with regulatory and sanitary safety requirements as well as cost control with a reduced impact on the environment.
COLDWAY designed and developed an extensive product range covering the field of temperature controlled transport and storage by coupling its insulated containers to its patented self-refrigerating and electronically monitored system.
Further than the strict Cold Chain management, COLDWAY is clearly identified as the matching partner for industries wishing to progress towards an alternative non polluting technology offering significant cost reductions at the same time. With a total command of its industrial process, COLDWAY is now able to implement its advanced technology in different industrial fields and to address any issue linked to Cold or Heat management.
