PSHE can be used as highly efficient Flooded, or Direct Expansion (DX) evaporators, due to low pressure drop and high heat transfer. Vahterus PSHE are ideal for Flooded or Direct Expansion (DX)cascade operations, based on their high thermal efficiency. They can provide minimum temperature difference between the evaporative and condensing media, and low running costs. Using Vahterus fully welded construction ensures there is no leakage or cross-contamination.
As well as producing stand-alone products, Vahterus can also use their considerable application knowledge to supply process systems which incorporate Plate & Shell Heat Exchangers. They can be either flooded evaporators with droplet separator, co2 cascades with receiver or flooded cascades.
Vahterus Combined is a compact solution available for use with both flooded evaporators and flooded cascades. These Combined solutions integrate the evaporator and separation system within a single vessel, creating a compact solution with low refrigerant charge.
The compact size of Combined creates cost savings both in terms of insulation and piping. Cleaning can be easily and efficiently performed via back flushing and/or chemical cleaning.
Constructed from fully welded circular plates housed within a protective shell, Combined ensures safe and durable operation, which is suitable for use with all refrigerants.
