From exploitation via transport, processing, and storage of gaseous and liquid products, electric heating systems are used in a lot of industrial areas.
Electric heaters are used e.g. for heating up of water, oils, chemical products and gases, for overheating steams, evaporating liquids, drying gases, starting-up chemical processes etc.

Electric heaters are understood as completion of conventional heat exchangers. Since merely electric energy must primary be available, they are easy to install and can practically be operated at any location. Local sources of emission are not relevant. As to the process engineering, they offer the possibility to realize high temperatures together with high control accuracy and are thus ideally suitable for start-up processes in the chemical industry.
By means of indirect heating e.g. when using an intermediate medium (such as heat transfer oil) or by electrically heated casts, even components with complicated design can be heated optimal without risking a local overheating.

Falling below dew point in filters and transport equipment lead to caking and corrosion. This can reliably be avoided by installation of an electric heat tracing at the endangered spots by means of electric heating mats.
Foundation heating of liquid gas tanks prevent reliably a freezing of the ground and thus a disruption of the tank foundation. By means of a special software, the optimum installation distance and the correct embedding depth of the electric heating cable can be calculated so that the boil-off rate cannot increase and profitability and safety have top priority.
Frost protection heating systems for open spaces, ramps, bridges, roads as well as foundations in cold stores are also realized by electric heat tracing.
