Technical features
The angle valves are used in refrigerant circuits of refrigerating plants. They are appliances used for closing, securing and controlling the mass flow of refrigerants and are operated manually. The different types of connections make it possible to integrate these valves into refrigerant pipelines and to connect them with compressors, tanks etc.

The angle valves are designed and dimensioned in accordance with DIN EN 12284:2001-01 and correspond to ROHS 2002/95 EC (Directive for the Restriction of Hazardous Substances) as well as to the Pressure Equipment Directive 97/23/EC.

Design features
  •  steel casing, variably composed of several modules
  •  high-strength and absolutely tight joints, brazed in a protective atmosphere furnace
  •  each fitting has been subjected to strength and tightness checks
  •  use of high-temperature resistant gland packings made of graphite, the gland seal can be retensioned at any time
  •  surface finishing by tin plating, copper plating or combination coating
  •  low mass due to the optimal utilization of material
  •  use of sturdy and tight plastic screw caps
  •  flare connections 7/16-20 UNF in various positions for connecting pressure gauges (can be shut off)
  •  flare connections 7/16-20 UNF in various positions for connecting manostats (cannot be shut off)
  •  spindle back sealing, when the valve is completely open
Design
Due to their structural design, the angle valves can be produced and offered in a large variety with the
following connecting types and dimensions:
  •  soldering connection for external pipe diameters ranging between 6 mm and 54 mm as well as 1/4 - 1 5/8 inch; the soldering connections for pipes in cm and inch can be combined
  •  flare connections with American unified thread pursuant to ASME B1.1 for external pipe diameters ranging between 6 mm and 15 mm as well as ¼ - 5/8 inch (up to 18 mm or ¾“ at the customer’s request)
  •  Rotalock connections:
UST thread: 3/4-16 UNF
UST thread: 1-14 UNS
UST thread: 1 1/4-12 UNF
UST thread: 1 3/4-12 UN
UST thread: 2 1/4-12 UN
  •  2-bolt flange connection ranging between 35 mm and 70 mm (hole center distance)
The connecting types listed above can be supplied in the most different combinations. Other connecting types and dimensions as well as customized angle valves can be manufactured and supplied on request.
