The Oak FP-2 fin production line serves as an ideal fin making solution when intricate fin patterns are required. Rated at 60 tons, the straight side press and supporting line equipment efficiently deliver the fin stock to the press, lubricate the stock and collect the finished product for assembly into a coil.
A hydraulic withdrawal feature incorporated into the press slide gives access to the inner tooling of the fin stamping die without removing the die from the press.
The FP-2 fin press is available in two widths, 36 inches and 48 inches. This production line allows for the production of quality fins ranging from 1 to 108 inches long (maximum) using fin stock with maximum widths ranging from 26 inches to 40 inches. This press series has bed openings of 34 x 34 inches and 46 x 34 inches and accommodates fin dies with a shut-height range of 9 to 13 inches. The standard stroke length offered on the FP-2 fin press is 1 1/2 inches. Press modifications allow for a maximum stroke length of 2 inches if taller collar heights are required.
The Horizontal Progressive Expanders use a small bore hydraulic cylinder to expand tubing in a heat exchanger coil. Single Tube Expanders consist of one cylinder that expands a single tube at a time. Single Hairpin Expanders typically consist of 3 cylinders arranged in a triangular pattern so that both legs of any hairpin may be expanded at the same time. Other configurations are available upon request, These machines are very versatile, and can be set up for different coil configurations in just a few minutes. They are also capable of providing very high expansion forces for expanding stainless steel and other exotic tubing materials.

The new CNC programmable straight tube cutoff line from Burr Oak Tool is the most flexible straight tube production system ever developed for the tubing industry. Feed length, speed, and batch sizes are all accurately controlled through the touch screen interface, maximizing the productivity of your processes and personnel.
This hitch feed design incorporates a belt driven linear actuator that positions an air operated clamp to allow a maximum of 36 inches of stroke length. The control of many aspects of the hitch feed can be determined by the operator at the touch screen interface. These include part length, number of parts required, and the actual feed speed.
When entering the part length, the programmable controller will automatically position the feed clamp and determine the correct number of hitching movements required to produce the final length. The operator can enter up to five different lengths and the machine automatically repositions itself each time the correct batch number is achieved, thus reducing set-up time. The feed clamp pressure is manually regulated to minimize clamping marks.
