IoT & Connected Cabinets
Within the cooler industry there has been an increased focus on connected cabinets and their potential for business optimisation. Advances in technology such as M2M are extending the benefits of remote data collection from assets onto a centralised portal. These benefits include monitoring cabinet energy consumption, geolocation/tracking and customer usage metrics. All this enables businesses to view data anywhere in the world from assets all over the world, which in turn supports businesses to operate more effectively. Sollatek design and manufacture electronic devices used by the cooler industry and are at the forefront of developing technologies for temperature controllers which feature Bluetooth, 2G/3G/LTE, GPS and Wi-Fi. We are working on future systems to include LoRA and NBIoT. Sollatek and its industry leading partners can create a centralised portal for their customers which enables them to analyse data and optimise their performance. Richard Brown, Sollatek’s Chief Electronics Engineer will share with you his experience and insights on roll-out programmes and how these connected cabinets are being utilised in the field.
