Chillventa 2012: Preparations in full swing
- 90 per cent of the space in 2010 already booked
- High degree of internationality
- Compact presentation of heat pumps in hall 7
- Comprehensive information at Chillventa Congressing
Chillventa enters the third round with great verve and will once again transform the exhibition halls in Nürnberg into the international get-together for the refrigeration, air conditioning, ventilation and heat pump experts from 9–11 October 2012. The application documents have already been sent out and the feedback from the exhibitors makes the event team optimistic: 90 per cent of the space in 2010 is already firmly booked. At the suggestion of the exhibitors, Chillventa 2012 starts a day earlier on Tuesday, 9 October 2012; the three-day running time remains unchanged. The Chillventa Congressing supporting programme takes place as usual the day before Chillventa on Monday, 8 October 2012.
“The mood in the sector is good and the positive feedback from the exhibitors makes us optimistic that we can build on the extraordinary success of the 2010 exhibition. We’re really looking forward to Chillventa 2012,” says Exhibition Director Gabriele Hannwacker. Over 550 exhibitors, including just under 60 per cent from abroad (318), have already confirmed their participation. So the level of applications is high and is currently already above 60 per cent of the applications for the last event.
Systems and components and their control technology have to meet ever higher standards in this respect and so make an effective contribution to achieving the climate protection targets. The exhibitors at Chillventa 2012 present many trend-setting product and system solutions that set the relevant standards.
After its successful start, Chillventa Rossija, the Trade Fair for Refrigeration, Air Conditioning and Heat Pumps tailored specifically to the Russian market, enters the second round in 2012. The exhibition in the Crocus Expo International Exhibition Center in Moscow from 7–9 February 2012 presents the entire spectrum of refrigeration, air conditioning and heat pumps – a unique concept for an exhibition in Russia.
NürnbergMesse has also taken over the organization and marketing communication for ACREX India 2012, South Asia’s biggest forum for the refrigeration and air conditioning industry. This takes place in Bangalore from 23–25 February 2012 and with its focus on energy-efficient technologies takes up a continuing trend in the Indian building industry. For local organization and handling in 2012, NürnbergMesse is again cooperating with the Indo-German Chamber of Commerce IGCC and the organizer ISHRAE.

Focuses at Chillventa 2012
In the course of national and international legislation on the reduction of CO2 and greenhouse gas emissions, environmental and climate protection are becoming increasingly important for the development of the sector. Another factor is the increased demand for maximum possible energy efficiency with high equipment performance. The targets for innovative products are therefore sparing use of resources and low energy consumption.Systems and components and their control technology have to meet ever higher standards in this respect and so make an effective contribution to achieving the climate protection targets. The exhibitors at Chillventa 2012 present many trend-setting product and system solutions that set the relevant standards.
Compact presentation of heat pumps in hall 7
The heat pump ranks as a pioneering technology particularly from the aspect of sparing use of resources and is gaining acceptance in the heat production market in more and more countries. “The heat pump has established itself and will play an even greater role in future. The range of products and services for heat pumps is therefore presented in concentrated form in hall 7. Embedded here between refrigeration and air conditioning, the ideal room is created for constructive and targeted talks between exhibitors and visitors,” says Hannwacker.Cleanroom Village
In the Cleanroom Village, the cross-sector expert forum for cleanroom professionals, everything revolves around cleanroom technology as the ultimate form of air conditioning. After its successful premiere at Chillventa 2010, the special show again creates synergies and enhances the Chillventa spectrum for visitors and exhibitors. The manufacturers present current technologies for the planning, construction and operation of clean and ultra-clean rooms, and service companies present their broad range of services. Certification, training and qualification are just as much a part of the variety of products and services offered in the Cleanroom Village. This makes the Cleanroom Village an international forum for a technology that due to the demanding technical requirements with short innovation cycles represents a challenge for planners, plant manufacturers and operators.Forums provide targeted information
Visitors can source comprehensive and specific information at the forums on Cleanroom and Refrigeration Applications (hall 1), Refrigeration (hall 4A) and Air Conditioning and Heat Pumps (hall 7). Many presentations by experts provide specialist knowledge and offer the opportunity to tackle individual topics in a detailed and concentrated way.Comprehensive information at Chillventa Congressing
Chillventa Congressing the day before Chillventa on 8 October 2012 again provides extensive and highly qualified information and covers all sectors of refrigeration, air conditioning, ventilation and heat pumps. Professionals from research and practice identify trends, analyse changed political frameworks, present the current state of research and development, and show solutions that point the way to the future. The accompanying programme with international speakers particularly provides specialist knowledge on global, European and national legislative frameworks. ASERCOM, EPEE and EHPA supply extensive information on current standards and certifications and share their knowledge of energy efficiency and the Ecodesign Directive. Chillventa Congressing also covers innovative solutions for implementing the climate protection and energy efficiency requirements. The IEA Heat Pump Programme presents the findings and status of current research projects. Other topics include Nearly Zero Energy Buildings, Smart Cities or the Importance of Refrigeration Systems and Heat Pumps in Smart Grids.Review: Chillventa 2010 a complete success
Chillventa 2010 attracted great interest among the experts: 29,312 visitors travelled from all over the world to make sure they didn’t miss their exhibition highlight in October 2010, when Nürnberg was the hub of the international refrigeration, air conditioning, ventilation and heat pump community. 881 companies from 42 countries presented the variety and innovative power of a whole industry. The accompanying congress programme covered the entire range of products and services from the refrigeration, air conditioning, ventilation and heat pump sectors and offered extensive expert information at 130 presentations. Background: worldwide refrigeration, air conditioning and heat pump network
