Chillventa 2012: all set for a great show
- More space
- Future-oriented focus on heat pumps
- Compact display of cleanroom technology in Cleanroom Village
- High-calibre technical programme: Chillventa Congressing
The preparations for Chillventa 2012 are in full swing. We can already see today that, as the international trade fair for refrigeration, air conditioning, ventilation and heat pumps enters the third round, it will once again confirm its importance as the major get-together of the industry worldwide. About 6 months before the beginning of the event, the whole exhibition space available in 2010 has already been firmly booked. For the first time, the duration of Chillventa is longer this year. In response to suggestions made by exhibitors, it opens its doors to industry experts from all over the world from Tuesday 9 October to Thursday 11 October 2012. As in the past, the supporting Congress Programme begins the day before the opening of the fair, on Monday 8 October.
“We’re full of confidence regarding Chillventa 2012. The current level of registrations gives us every reason to be confident: far more people have registered with us today than at the same time in advance of the last fair. In terms of exhibition space, we’ve already exceeded the space occupied in 2010. So we’re optimistic that Chillventa 2012 will once again surpass itself in every respect,” says Gabriele Hannwacker, the events manager at NürnbergMesse.
The positive response of exhibitors shows that Chillventa is of outstanding importance as a venue for the international industry. So far, 704 exhibitors, of whom 62 percent are from abroad, have booked their stand space. “Once again in 2012, Chillventa will grow significantly, and this applies to the stand spaces too. For this reason, we’ve expanded the exhibition area, so space is still available if more exhibitors want to register,” Hannwacker explains.
At Chillventa 2012, the Cleanroom Village once again illustrates the theme of cleanroom technology in all its variety. The international trade fair forum in Hall 1 gives planners and operators of cleanrooms and ultra-cleanrooms a compact overview of the latest trends in this sophisticated segment. The number of cleanrooms in many high-tech industries is growing continually and, moreover, the requirements in terms of air quality in industrial production processes are becoming more demanding worldwide. Coupled with these developments are new challenges for cleanroom technology that give rise to an accelerated innovation cycle.
“Exhibitors with highly developed products and services relevant to cleanrooms will find their platform in the Cleanroom Village at Chillventa,” Gabriele Hannwacker explains. And she adds: “Following the successful premiere of theCleanroom Village at Chillventa 2010, we anticipate further potential here for synergies on the part of exhibitors and visitors.”

Current trends: energy efficiency and environmental protection
At Chillventa 2012, exhibiting companies in the segments refrigeration, air conditioning, ventilation and heat pumps present the industry’s broad spectrum in all its variety. And two overarching trends are predominant: energy efficiency and environmental protection, the reason being the rising standards in the performance of equipment and components that have to operate even more efficiently and more economically. Added to this is the commitment of the industry to introduce environment-friendly and climate- friendly product solutions. Exhibitors show components and control technology that comply with the highest standards and make an important contribution to achieving national and international climate protection targets. So at Chillventa 2012 you see how economic efficiency and sustainability come together for an industry that combines the principles of economy and ecology with resource-saving products.Heat pump: focus in Hall 7
Heat pumps again play a special role at Chillventa 2012. “The international market for heat pumps is growing, and the technical advances in this segment are helping to establish the heat pump as a convenient and economical alternative to other generators of heat. Precisely because of its cost advantage, and also from the angle of environmental protection, the heat pump is playing a pioneering role,” says Dr.-Ing. Rainer M. Jakobs, the coordinator of the technical programme at Chillventa. In Hall 7 Chillventa presents a compact and concentrated display of everything firms have to offer relating to heat pumps, with the focus on applications in commerce and industry. “With refrigeration and air conditioning technology all around us here, we’re creating the ideal conditions for intensive technical discussions,” adds events manager Gabriele Hannwacker. At Chillventa 2012, the Cleanroom Village once again illustrates the theme of cleanroom technology in all its variety. Technical forums provide targeted information
The technical forums at Chillventa 2012 again offer visitors specific, first-hand information about the fields of refrigeration, air conditioning, ventilation and heat pump technology. Many presentations by experts are a source of concentrated information based on practical experience. Experts from industry and research pass on their know-how for cleanroom and refrigeration applications (Hall 1), refrigeration technology (Hall 4A) and air conditioning technology and heat pumps (Hall 7), and they provide an opportunity to concentrate on individual themes and to explore them in depth.High-calibre Chillventa Congressing
On Monday 8 October 2012, Chillventa Congressing again offers comprehensive information by experts from all segments of the refrigeration, air conditioning, ventilation and heat pump industry. In the modern NCC Ost, prestigious international speakers report on research and practice and provide information on current political parameters in Europe and worldwide. With renowned speakers from ASERCOM, EPEE and EHPA, we have the promise of expertise on current standards and certifications, smart cities and the Ecodesign Directive. With the symposium Nearly Zero Energy Buildings, the ZVKKW addresses an ongoing trend, with ASHRAE also offering a practice-oriented workshop. Another workshop on the theme Data Center builds on the results of the previous event at the last Chillventa. Other topics at Chillventa Congressing are Smart Cities and the Importance of Refrigeration and Heat Pump Systems in Smart Grids. The focus is also on: innovative solutions to meet the climate protection and energy efficiency targets; the presentation of the results of ongoing research projects in the IEA Heat Pump Programme; and the integration of refrigeration and heat pump systems in smart grids. All exhibitors and their current product information can be accessed at: www.ask-chillventa.de
